Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 May 2026
These terms (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tsumihon mobile app and the website at tsumihon.app (together, “Tsumihon”). By installing, opening, or otherwise using Tsumihon, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use Tsumihon.
Questions: support@tsumihon.app.
What Tsumihon is
Tsumihon is a personal library manager for doujinshi and manga. It catalogs books you own or have added, fetches metadata and cover art from public external sources, and shows them in a built-in reader. We do not host, sell, distribute, or relay any of the books or images themselves — those requests go directly from your device to the source you chose.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Tsumihon. Some content surfaced through external catalog sources is adult and is not appropriate for minors. By using Tsumihon you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that doing so is lawful in your jurisdiction.
Your account
Using Tsumihon requires an account. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure.
- All activity that happens under your account.
- Making sure the email address tied to your account is one you control.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, attempt to circumvent rate limits or quotas, or violate these Terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Tsumihon to access content that is illegal where you live, including content depicting minors.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Attempt to disrupt the service, the sync backend, or other users’ access to it.
- Use Tsumihon to harass, defame, or threaten anyone.
- Resell or sublicense Tsumihon or any part of it.
- Use automation to scrape external catalog sources at a rate or in a way that violates their terms.
External catalog sources
Tsumihon can query public external catalog sources you choose to enable. We are not affiliated with any external source and have no control over their content, availability, or terms. Requests go directly from your device to the source, using whatever credentials you provided.
You are solely responsible for:
- Complying with each source’s terms of service.
- Any account or session credential you add to Tsumihon.
- The legality of the content you access in your jurisdiction.
If an external source goes offline, changes its API, or bans your account, that is between you and them — Tsumihon cannot restore access on your behalf.
Cloud sync
Cloud sync stores your library metadata and settings so they appear on your other devices. Sync is provided “as is” — we make reasonable efforts to keep it available, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. Sync is not a backup service. Keep your own backup if your library matters to you (export from the app’s settings).
We may apply reasonable rate limits and quotas on the sync backend to keep the service healthy.
Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases of Tsumihon, or of in-app entitlements, are processed by the platform you installed Tsumihon from (the device’s app store). The app store’s payment terms apply, and refunds are handled by them — not by us.
Auto-renewing subscriptions continue until you cancel through the same app store.
Optional AI features
Some features are off by default and require you to provide a credential for an external AI provider of your choice. When enabled, the image or text you select is sent from your device directly to that provider. You are responsible for any costs and for complying with the provider’s terms when you enable such a feature. We do not proxy or store your credential.
Intellectual property
Tsumihon (the app, the website, the brand) is owned by its creators and licensed to you, not sold. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Tsumihon for personal, non-commercial purposes. All other rights are reserved.
Books, cover art, tags, descriptions, and other content shown in Tsumihon are the property of their respective rights holders. You are responsible for ensuring your use of that content complies with applicable copyright law in your jurisdiction.
Disclaimer
Tsumihon is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of metadata, availability of any external source, or non-infringement.
We don’t warrant that:
- Tsumihon will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors.
- Metadata fetched from external sources is accurate.
- Any specific external catalog source will remain available or compatible.
- Cloud sync will preserve your data without loss.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Tsumihon, its creators, or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of Tsumihon — whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you actually paid us for Tsumihon in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tsumihon and its creators from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of Tsumihon, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Termination
You can stop using Tsumihon at any time — uninstall the app, and (optionally) delete your account from the app’s settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to Tsumihon (especially the cloud sync backend) at any time if you violate these Terms or if continuing to provide service to you becomes impractical.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) survive termination.
Changes to the app and to these Terms
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may update these Terms when we change the service or when the law requires it. If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, surface a notice in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to Tsumihon will be brought exclusively in the courts of Tokyo, Japan, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country requires otherwise.
